WHO WE ARE

Since 1765, through wars, hurricanes, good times and hardships, St Matthew's Parish Church has been an ongoing witness to the Good News of Jesus Christ. This Anglican Parish was founded by an ecumenical group of neighbors who wanted to gather to worship and fellowship. That is pretty much who we still are, an eclectic church family from different church backgrounds (Baptists, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Catholics, and yes, some cradle Episcopalians) now worshiping together in a country Anglican parish church.

We seek to be a Spirit driven unified church that is empowered by love, prays for others and cares for others (Acts 4) We are committed to the Great Commission (Matthew 28 and Acts 1.8) to reach all people with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Seven years ago the leadership made a commitment to invest time, talent and resources to reaching the next generation for Christ. We now have a thriving children's program and Nature Camp. And in 2015, along with Lisa and Leighton Chinn (Intervarsity) God called us to begin an outreach to international students that has reached hundreds of students and their families and set the example for other ACNA churches.

Please come visit our "little church with a big heart" and your heart will find a home, a place of healing. And, did I mention we really like to eat, together, alot?
